See everywhere you’ve been, on a map
Drop your Google Maps Timeline export to get a map, a heatmap, your day-by-day trips and yearly stats.
Your file is processed on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
What you get
Map and heatmap
Every path and place from your Timeline, coloured by year or by transport mode, with a time slider and a heatmap layer.
Day view
Pick any date to see where you went, in order, with times and distances, just like the old Timeline. Or ask “Where was I on…?”.
Yearly stats
Countries and cities, distance walked, driven and flown, days away from home, your most-visited places and the furthest point from home.
Which files work
- Android: the
Timeline.jsonfrom “Export Timeline data” on your phone. - iPhone: the JSON file exported from the Google Maps app’s Timeline settings.
- Old Google Takeout:
Records.jsonand theSemantic Location Historyfolder, or the whole Takeout.zip.
Not sure how to get the file? Follow the step-by-step export guide, or read what’s inside each format.
Free and paid
Viewing is free for files up to 150 MB and the latest 2 years of history. A one-time unlock (€5.99) adds GPX, KML, CSV and GeoJSON exports (convert your Timeline to GPX), merging several exports or phones into one clean file, files of any size and a printable year poster.
Your location stays with you
Your file is processed on your device and never uploaded to our servers. Place names you add are stored only in this browser. The map background loads from the map tile provider, which sees which area of the map you are viewing, like any online map, but never your file.
